Much has taken place since our last monthly update! We celebrated Thanksgiving with several people from the village and the pastor of the only evangelical church here, a tiny Baptist church. Thanksgiving was a beautiful time of gathering together and thanking God for everything He has done for us this past year. A year ago on Thanksgiving, we were still in the NICU with Timothy. What a difference a year makes! It was very encouraging to hear how God has been working in the lives of our guests as well! From our time spent together, a Christmas outreach was planned for the children here in Şiştarovăţ! Please pray for this Christmas party that is planned for December 22! Pray that the gospel message will be clearly shared! Pray that the children will come! Pray that it will be a blessed time of celebration for everyone who comes! And please pray that people will come to Christ and be disciple in His word! We are excited to see what the Lord will do!

Towards the end of our Thanksgiving celebration, the man who would drill our new well came over and began making preparations for drilling. He was at the house for about a week and now we have a really good well with lots of water! Praise God! We are still waiting for the water pump to arrive so that we can use the water from the well, and we don’t yet know if the water will be safe to drink. It will have to be tested first. The well we had been using is very old, and we were running it dry sometimes as often as 3 times a week. Being able to wash the laundry and dishes without fear of running out of water will be a huge blessing, and it would be amazing if we can drink the water!

Callum King, another missionary here who volunteers at Friendship camp, has worked tirelessly helping with the well and installing a furnace to heat the house! He not only found a great furnace for us, he brought it to the house, installed it (which was a huge job!) built a chimney for the furnace, and found a plumber to help complete the installation. It’s a wood burning furnace that heats the house with hot water. Now that the weather is getting cold, it is good to have a central heating system. Not everything is working perfectly, but we are warm and that is what is important! We are so thankful for all that Callum has done to help us!!!
As we look forward to celebrating the first coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are so thankful for everything that the Lord has done this past year! We look forward to what He has in store for this next week and for this next year! May the Lord bless you this Christmas season and may you be amazed at His indescribable gift! The gift of salvation!
