Covid Recovery and Blessings

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Isaiah 43:2

On February 14, we were exposed to Covid, and we stayed in isolation to see if we would develop symptoms. On February 19, Gwen developed a mild sore throat and a runny nose. She tested positive for Covid-19. We all ended up getting Covid. Praise God, none of us got very sick! Gwen had very mild cold like symptoms as well as a loss of taste and smell. David and the children just had headaches and fatigue. We were finally able to come out of quarantine on March 7, and praise the Lord that were able to recover without any medical intervention! Taking copious amounts of vitamin C along with vitamin D, zinc, and increasing our fluid intake was the regiment that we came up with which seemed to help us recover. We know others who have not been so fortunate, passed away from Covid-19. It is the Lord who preserved us and protected us raising us up to life, health, and strength! Yet again, the Lord has led our family through a perilous “river” that did not overtake us or sweep over us as Isaiah 43:2 says.

When we had Covid, we went ahead and had everyone tested so that we can show proof that we had it and recovered. This may help with future travel plans. Currently, we have tickets to fly to Romania leaving June 28 and arriving June 29. June 29 will be the one year anniversary of the horrible car accident. I think it’s just like the Lord to take a date that was very traumatic for our family and redeem it, changing it into something good! A new beginning in Romania.

If we are able to move in June, the time we have left in USA is short! It is our desire to share with churches and gatherings of Christians about our call to missions and all that the Lord has carried us through as we seek to follow Him.. We only have a few Sundays available on our schedule, but if you or your church would like to have us come, please contact us and we will try to meet with you. Thank you so much for praying for our family! The Lord is faithfully caring for us!

    1. We would love to share with Greenleaf! We have a limited number of dates available. If you guys have an opening that coincides with our available Sundays, we will be happy to share!

  1. My husband and I are ChrIstan Orthodox converts from the USA. We moved here in 2013. It was the best excision that we ever made. Left me know where you will be living in Romania. It is always helpful to know someone in a different country.
